I grew up outside Washington, D.C. and received my BA in Neuroscience & Behavior from Vassar College in 2008. I then worked as a Post-Bacc IRTA at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD studying the neuropathology of schizophrenia. I did a brief internship at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History before embarking on a Fulbright fellowship to South Korea. I  joined Kay Holekamp’s lab at MSU in the fall of 2011.

When not in the lab, I can be found practicing yoga (recently completed 200-hr teacher training at Hilltop Yoga ), drawing , reading comics (awaiting Sandman Overture # 5 ), sampling Michigan beer (currently on a Brewery Vivant kick), listening to music (new Sufjan album), playing NYT crossword puzzles and board games, and plotting my next adventure(s). And no, I never served as a NY district attorney .
